First developed in the early 1980s, the PASGT helmet offered a new way of protecting troops from shrapnel. Instead of using steel, which bounced the projectile off of the helmet, the PASGT was made of 19 layers of Kevlar and was meant to deviate the shrapnel away from the user's head.
This example is painted OD green and comes with two sweatbands, an M81 Woodland cover, and a chinstrap. The snap on the chinstrap is broken, but can easily be replaced.
The size is approximately a size medium, with the sweatband being adjustable.
This is a classic PASGT example that would look great on display or for an impression.
