Flak jackets were developed not to protect the user from bullets but from shrapnel from explosions.

This example was first developed in 1969 and most commonly used during the Vietnam War, but it was also used by British troops in Northern Ireland during The Troubles.

This example is very well-worn with multiple tears and stains. But otherwise it is still wearable, still has the inserts, and the zipper and snaps still work.

This will be a great addition for a "salty soldier" reenactment impression of the Vietnam War without destroying a nicer condition one.
