The US military took this into consideration when developing the perfect winter jacket. 
The jacket offers full protection against the cold, wind, and wet conditions.
Due to the construction of plastic foam insulation, this will apparently provide emergency buoyancy if you were to wall in a body of water (although we do not recommend you test this theory for life-saving measures). 
 
It features two waist pockets, closes via zipper and buttons, and even has a comfortable corduroy collar.
