Heavily inspired by the British Denison smock, Belgium developed its first camo pattern in 1952.
Its name was Brushstroke, but due to the pattern design, it was often referred to as Lune et Sphere (Moon & Balls), as that's what it looked like from a distance.
Unfortunately, this camo pattern did not see long service, being replaced in 1956 by Belgian Jigsaw.
As with the early pattern of Jigsaw, Moon and Balls was primarily used by Para-commandos as well as mercenaries in the Congo.
This camo has become increasingly difficult to find, but now we have managed to snag a few shelter halves in this rare camo!
Pup tents have been used by many armies as a simple and effective form of shelter. Each soldier would carry one half of the tent and would need to partner up with someone else in order to form a full tent.
As seen in the photos, you are able to set up a nice shelter with just one half.
To save money and space, the Belgians also designed the shelter half to be worn as a poncho if needed. And the carry bag could be attached to act as a hood!
Price is for ONE shelter half, and it will come with a carry bag (which also acts as a hood), 4 poles, 5 stakes, a tension cord, and, of course, the shelter half.
If you buy two halves, the second one will be $89.99.
These are used surplus, so please expect small tears/holes, fraying, markings, stains, missing buttons, and/or corroded buttons.
Otherwise, I messed with each shelter and was able to use each as a poncho or set up as a shelter, so aside from the above possibilities, these are ready to be used.
